Rhett May continues to showcase his incredible talent for creating some not so cookie cutter rock music with his latest release, “Creatures of the Night”. The album has an incredible array of genres mixed in, with a strong lean towards rock. Rhett Mays vast cultural background has influenced him quite a bit when it comes to his music. Known for their mix of alternative rock with hard rock, we can definitely see the similarities and influences in Jon Campos and the Incurables’ music. Not to mention that they both share the same stomping grounds in San Diego!

Jon Campos and The Incurables Embody The Rock Ballad Vibes of Lenny Kravitz In Their Song, Tragic Tales and Lullabies

Love a classic Lenny Kravitz rock ballad? Then you just might want to check out  Jon Campos and the Incurables. The band has really taken influence from the sound and vibes of Lenny Kravitz’s music and created some incredible songs. Their recent single, “Tragic Tales & Lullabies”, is a great example of this influence. The song definitely nails the alternative rock vibe, but with the lyrics and Jon Campos’ smooth voice, it quickly becomes a ballad that you just can’t stop listening to. The music video for this song actually just received a nomination from the San Diego Film Awards for Best Music Video! So that is incredibly exciting and we wish them nothing but the best for them on this! In some other news this past week, Jon Campos and the Incurables hit the #1 spot the San Diego Regional Alt Rock list on Reverbnation! Huge congratulations to the guys! They’ve worked super hard to get to where they are and we can see the huge amount of love their hometown has for them. This also helped them get up to the #37 spot in the National Alternative Rock out of over 10,000 other alternative rock bands. Can’t wait to see what’s next for them!
